Biography
The Boise Valley Chordsmen is an
a cappella chorus that sings barbershop style music. If you want to hear
some digitized sample of barbershop singing you can find them at "www.SPEBSQSA.org."
The BVC is open to the public and we welcome any men who like to sing.
Don't worry about not being able to read music or never having sung this kind
of music. We have many professional singers, musicians, and music teachers
in the chorus who will gladly help you to improve. All you need is a glad
heart and an open mouth.
The Boise Valley Chordsmen meet once a week on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the
Salvation Army Headquarters facility at 1904 W. Bannock in Boise. The
building is just a couple blocks off State Street and has great access from
the connector by taking the Fairview exit, turning North on 23rd and Right on
Bannock To 19th Street. You can find a map to the meeting location below.
We also put on shows for our fans (and ourselves) in the Boise/Treasure Valley
area. For each show we bring in a headliner quartet. In the past we've had some
incredible quartets (there are pictures of all of our previous shows in the
Gallery).
We now have online a printable list
of our current repertoire.
To find out about the Open House dates and other events that are coming up,
check out the Event Calendar.
Check the show site for upcoming information
about our next show and our next guest.
We hope to see you there!
